| Numbering around 30 singers, the choir of St. Mary the Virgin, Henley-on-Thames, is one of the finest church choirs in the area, drawing members from a wide geographical area. The choir's main duties are to support and enhance the worship of this ancient church, maintaining a heritage that stretches back for centuries. Although deeply rooted in tradition, the choir today is a lively and vibrant group of boys, girls, men and women of all ages and prides itself on its friendliness and openness, as well as a commitment to creating fine music in a beautiful setting.
The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and regularly participates in activities organised by the Oxford Area. |
